What Is PRX-PLUS?

PRX-PLUS is a bio-revitalization treatment that combines trichloroacetic acid (TCA 33%), hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid to trigger deep dermal regeneration while leaving the surface layer intact.

Unlike traditional chemical peels, PRX-PLUS rebuilds firmness and luminosity without causing visible peeling, making it ideal for all skin types and any time of year.

What PRX Treats / Indications

PRX can help with:

  • Skin laxity, mild sagging, crepey / thinning skin

  • Fine lines & early wrinkles

  • Uneven tone, dullness, pigmentation / sun damage

  • Acne scars, superficial depressed scars

  • Irregular texture, enlarged pores

  • Neck, décolleté, hands (non-facial zones)

  • Stretch marks, scar revision in mild or recent cases

It’s especially attractive for people who want a visible improvement but can’t afford downtime or peeling.

What to Expect: The Experience

Before Treatment

  • Cleanse the area, remove makeup / oils

  • Possibly prep the skin with mild agents, ensure no irritants

  • Discuss expectations, risk factors

During Treatment

  • Session time: ~30 minutes (face)

  • The provider applies PRX via massage in 2 to 5 “layers” / passes until desired absorption / effect

  • No needles, minimal discomfort; possible mild tingling / warmth

After Treatment / Recovery

  • Immediately: slight redness or warmth (rarely more than a few hours)

  • Because the epidermis isn’t disrupted, peeling is minimal or none at all

  • You generally can resume regular life right away

  • Use gentle skincare and sunscreen; avoid aggressive actives initially

Timeline for Results

  • Some immediate “glow” / tightening effect

  • Dermal remodeling, improved tone / texture over several weeks

  • Best results often seen after multiple sessions

Treatment Plan & Sessions

  • Often a series of 3–5 treatments, spaced ~1 week apart (frequency depends on skin condition)

  • Some zones or concerns might need extended protocols

  • Maintenance (booster) sessions every 6–12 months to sustain results

Who’s a Candidate & Contraindications

Good Candidates:

  • Healthy individuals with mild-to-moderate signs of aging, texture issues, pigment concerns

  • Anyone who wants rejuvenation with minimal downtime

  • Safe for all skin colors (because surface peeling is minimal)

Contraindications / Cautions:

  • Active skin infection, open wounds, eczema / psoriasis in zone

  • Recent use of retinoids / aggressive treatments

  • Pregnancy / breastfeeding

  • Allergy to kojic acid, latex

We’ll screen this thoroughly during your consultation.

Pre- & Post-Care Instructions

Before Treatment:

  • Discontinue retinoids, acids ~3–7 days prior

  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning

  • Avoid harsh exfoliants or irritants before

Aftercare:

  • Gentle cleanser, hydrating moisturizers
  • Avoid retinoids / strong actives for a few days

  • Use broad-spectrum sunscreen daily

  • No heavy sweating, saunas, aggressive treatments immediately

PRX-PLUS vs. Traditional Peels/ Other Treatments

  • Versus classic chemical peels: PRX achieves dermal stimulation with no peeling, much less downtime, and lower risk of pigmentary rebound in darker skin.
  • Versus microneedling/ laser: More subtle and safe, though less aggressive - ideal when you want rejuvenation without risk of ablation or sensitized skin

  • Seasonality: Because it’s non-photosensitizing, it can be done year-round, even summer
