Brow Lift

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is an excellent option for women and men with noticeable signs of aging on their brow and forehead. A brow lift can reduce the appearance of sagging, wrinkles, and folds and rejuvenate the appearance of the face.

At The Pogue Center in Scottsdale, we have provided numerous women and men with excellent results from their brow lift in Scottsdale.

Is a Brow Lift Right for Me?

Deep furrows on the forehead, frown lines between the eyes, drooping eyebrows and hood-like skin over the eyes are all conditions that can make you look older than you are or feel. Whether age or heredity causes these conditions, a forehead lift (or brow lift) can give you a more youthful, animated and alert appearance. Dr. Pogue utilizes a special technique (endoscopic procedure) that allows him to make a much smaller incision just above the hairline. Dr. Pogue also performs forehead lifts under local anesthesia supplemented by a mild sedative to keep you relaxed, yet awake.

Forehead-Lift Description

Brow and forehead lifts are performed to raise eyebrows and reduce furrows and ridges on the forehead, creating a smoother, more youthful appearance. As with eyelid lifts, this procedure is often done in conjunction with other surgical procedures.

Brow Lift Recovery

Recovery time is reduced with minimal scarring hidden in your hair. Forehead and brow lifts may be performed alone, or along with other procedures such as a facelift or eyelid surgery. There may be some swelling and bruising following brow lift surgery, but these issues will subside over time. Most patients are on their feet in a couple of days, and back to work within one week. Strenuous exertion, which increases your blood pressure, should be avoided for about two weeks, along with prolonged exposure to heat or the sun. Dr. Pogue will provide you with a list of post-surgical instructions to help you through your brow lift recovery.

The tiny incisions are closed with sutures.

Brow Lift Risks

Complications from brow and forehead lift are relatively few and minor. However, there are inherent risks connected with every surgical procedure.
